Christmas feelings

Merry Christmas !

Last two days I have finally had a bit of time to relax and spend some time with my family, which I don't see that often due to staying away from them. That time should be the most important thing when it comes to the Christmas, as we tend to get more focused on presents, food or decorations, which also makes us happy and I am really grateful for, however they're the less important aspects in life. I hope everyone had an opportunity to have a small talk with someone they haven't spoken to for a while and had wonderful time with your closest ones. I tried to use my time well, therefore the amount of photos around Christmas time is quite limited. Edinburgh's Christmas Market is absolutely magical and it gets better every year ! All the lighting and decorations make such an amazing atmosphere, not to mention all the delicious food you can try there, such as hot chocolate with rum!

I hope all of you have a lovely time with your family and had a delicious dinner that everyone is waiting on the whole year. Hello !

Christmas is just around the corner and I hope that everyone's managed to get their Christmas shopping done by now. I went to pick up some last bits and bobs for the presents today and walked out with a little bag with goodies for myself :) In my opinion shopping is quite a tiring task, therefore for the successful shopping you do deserve a little treat now and then to keep you going. And that is how I ended up with quite a few pieces that I gathered for myself, whether some of them ordered online whilst shopping for my family or just some superdrug quick buys. The Christmas gift guide for him

Today's post is a follow up post on Christmas gift guide, and this one will try to inspire and give couple of ideas on what to get this year for your close male person. I usually think it is more difficult to buy a present for a guy when you're a girl, as you can never be sure if you can fit in their taste. However most of men have weakness for some sort of gadgets, and most of them are quite universal and could fit even those fussy guys. I think though that Christmas should rather be focused about spending good time with your family and close ones, rather than presents. Quick & Healthy Breakfast ideas

For today's post I thought I will post something different that hasn't been on this blog before - food post ! The post will give you the quick and healthy sweet breakfast ideas, that you can prepare the night before or make in less than 10 mins ! Great recipes for people like me who always somehow manage to sleep in therefore have very little time in the morning and love sweet stuff :) Enjoy !


1. Smoothie 

Smoothies are great idea for the quick energy boost in the morning. It can be done in few minutes, all it takes is throwing some of your favourite frozen fruits, any kind of sweetener, some liquid, and last but not least some proteins either as a whey protein or greek yoghurt. 

blueberries + banana + apple juice + greek yogurt  

2. Pancakes 
Pancakes has to be my favourite due to the fact that they remind me of the times, when I would get woken up by the smell of my granny's delicious, freshly fried pancakes! Unfortunately as I got older and my eating habits has changed a little, I realised that those pancakes are not the best option for breakfast, and that's when I found a bit healthier substitute - banana + egg pancakes.
The recipe is really easy, all you need to do is blend one banana with an egg, however you can spice it up a little bit by adding some flavoured whey powder, add cinnamon or some cacao for an extra twist or chuck in your favourite berries.

this version had added some extra coconut flavoured whey powder and were served with blueberries, kiwis, peanut butter and coconut on top ! 

3. Overnight oats

The last option is the best option for when you know you will have a busy morning and you want to be sure you will get some food in the morning- the overnight oats ! 

The idea again is fairly simple all you need is an empty jar that you fill with some oats, again some form of liquid, fruits, nuts and other extras such as whey powder or cinnamon ! It is a good option as you can chuck all the ingredients the night before into the jar and put it into the fridge the night before. The next morning you can quickly grab the jar out of the fridge and either eat cold or warm it up in the microwave :) The best thing about overnight oats is that there's no limit when it comes to ingredients, and you can switch them over to have different breakfast every day :) !

The Fifth Watches

Hi !

The good quality watch was on my wish list for a veryyy long time. However my budget would not let me make this purchase as an impulse, because I had to save a bit of money before. I am actually glad I did, because I have changed my mind couple times in the mean time as well as found this interesting Australian brand that put the watches on their website sale, on the 5th of each month. Clever marketing trick for their original brand name and their unique sale method. Before making a purchase I went online and read couple of reviews, and all of them were always positive, saying that it is a great quality watch in more affordable price. What else has interested me in this watch was the classic design and the variety that you get, by getting two different colours of  leather straps, that can be easily swapped over. If that would not be enough they are waterproof and they come in the very luxurious looking boxes, carefully packaged. This watch is amazing value for money, and it is just beautiful. I am really pleased with the purchase and would really recommend checking them out. I hope that I will save another just over £100 to get my hands on the other designs from their website.
